Pre-Training Laptop Instructions
DW Spectrum® IPVMS Certification Course Computer Prep
Thank you for registering for the DW Spectrum IPVMS Certification Course. We are excited to demonstrate and teach all that DW Spectrum has to offer.
To make the most of instruction time, we ask all attendees to prepare their computers PRIOR to training day.
Before starting installation, please check that your laptop meets the following specification:
- Windows 10/11 64-bit OS
- Intel I3 10th Gen minimum, I5 12th Gen recommended
- 8 GB RAM min, 16GB recommended
- 100GB Free Space on Hard Drive
- RJ-45 Ethernet port or working & tested USB-to-Ethernet adapter
- Discreet Nvidia GPU recommended
- All Windows and driver updates complete
- Bring your laptop power adapter!
Before Class, Please Install (do not log in or configure — we'll do that together in class):
Network Note: VPNs, proxies, and device-management agents commonly block outbound TCP 80, 443, and 3345, which may prevent you from joining the classroom network. Confirm you can disable these for the day, or plan to bring an unrestricted laptop instead.
