The DW® Witness™ app converts the camera on a smartphone or tablet into a portable high-quality surveillance camera. Your phone’s and tablet’s camera* can then be viewed and recorded on DW®’s VMAX® IP Plus™ NVR or any DW Spectrum® IPVMS system. Simply download the app and enter your recorder’s network information. Then, with a simple press of a record button, the live video from your phone is streamed directly to your recorder!

Models Supported:
  • DW Spectrum® IPVMS servers.
  • Blackjack® servers.
  • VMAX® IP Plus™ NVRs.

* DW®’s Remote Surveillance App supports smart phones and tablets running the following operating system or higher:

  • Compatible with Android devices running Android Kitkat (v4.4) or higher.
  • Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch running iOS 8.0 or higher.

  • You Control the Connection and Recording from the App.
  • Supports Front and Rear Cameras.
  • Provides personal security and safety as portable camera.
  • Video Resolution: 1080p, 720p, 480p or 240p. (Resolution of Kitkat: 480p, 240p)
  • Frame Rate: 30fps, 25fps, 15fps or 5fps. (Frame of Kitkat: 15fps, 5fps)
  • Flash Control : On or Off.
  • Transmits the smartphone or tablet’s current location.
  • Compatible with Android devices running Android 4.4 or higher.
  • Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch running iOS 8.0 or higher. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
Supported NVRs:
  • VMAX IP Plus™ PoE NVRs (Requires firmware v1.1.7.5 or higher).
Minimum Requirements: 
  • At least one available channel on the NVR side.
  • Network connectivity between smartphone/tablet and NVR.
