DW VMAX Security Alert
Dear DW Partners and Customers,
At Digital Watchdog, the security of your systems and the trust you place in our products are our highest priorities. We are writing to tell you about a security issue we identified on certain VMAX systems running a previous firmware version.
What we've found
Some affected units may beep continuously and stop responding. Our investigation indicates these malfunctions may be linked to malware or unauthorized access.

What we're doing
We take every potential security issue seriously and are acting quickly to protect your installations. If your VMAX unit shows these symptoms, contact us and we will replace it right away.
What you should do
- Check your system model and firmware version against the table above.
- If your unit is beeping continuously or not responding, and it is under warranty, contact DW Technical Support to arrange a replacement.
- If your unit is on an affected firmware version but working normally, update to the latest firmware for your specific model as soon as possible. Visit DW Support for firmware information and assistance.
- After upgrading the firmware, change the ADMIN password immediately. Do not reuse the previous password.
